Creating a New TaskTo create a new task, first make sure that you are in the Tasks section of the program. Then click the New button at the bottom of the main window.
Alternatively, you can choose File > New Task in the main menu, or just press Insert on the keyboard. This will open the New Task window where you can enter the task title (which will be displayed in the main task list) and the task description (which will not be displayed in the main task list but will be visible in the Reminder window). If you just want to write the task down for further reference without being notified of it, then click OK and the new task will be added to the task list. If you wish to be notified when the task comes due, checkmark the checkbox Remind below the Description field. This will let you enter the date and time of the first notification. Setting the notification timeTo set the date of notification, click the down arrow in the box labeled 'On'. You will see a drop-down calendar in which you can choose the desired date. The time of notification can be chosen from the drop-down list if you click the down arrow in the box labeled 'At'. Alternatively, the time can be entered manually. If you type it, don't forget to enter a colon ( : ) as a separator between hours and minutes or you'll get an 'Incorrect time setting' message and the time won't be set. Note that if you set a past date or time for notification, you'll receive a message saying "The notification time you set has already passed. Create the task anyway?" If you click 'Yes' in the message box, the task will be added to the task list but no notification time will be set. If you choose 'No', you'll return to the New Task window where you can set another date and time.
Repeated notificationsIf you wish to receive repeated notifications on a regular basis, click 'More'. You will see this:
